To the editor:

Tuesday, due to the cold weather, we had a sprinkler pipe burst in our building on Stillwater Avenue. The sprinkler set off the alarm and it wasn’t long before we had 300 employees shivering outside in the cold and snow.

But thanks to the amazing work of the firefighters of West Side Fire Station No. 3 (Engines 2, 3 and 5 and Rescue 1), we only had time for a quick snowball fight before everyone was back indoors. The firefighters showed up in force and quickly resolved our sprinkler issue.

And then, afterwards, their assistance in helping to clean up the mess from the released sprinkler head went above and beyond the call of duty.

We’d like to commend the Stamford Fire Department for their professionalism and dedication. From all of us at Connecticut Film Center, AWTY Productions and Gyrus ACMI, we owe our firefighters a debt  of gratitude for getting the job done once again so quickly and efficiently.
