The Original ZERO Cost Fire Service Protection Plan That Was Ignored!
Below you will find the original ZERO cost Fire Service Protection Plan proposed by Chief Peter Brown of the Stamford Fire & Rescue Department. It seems incredible to us that this plan was completely dismissed in such turbulent economic times. As you read you, you will quickly realize that this is the plan that should have made the mayor VERY happy. It provides for a guaranteed career response citywide, integrates the volunteers and creates a single unified Department with unified policies and procedures. So now it leaves us wondering why…. Now you can read it for yourself! Tell us what you think!

Readers of this blog should also note that at a recent budget meeting, the Asst. Chief of SFRD again advised that $500,000 could be saved with this plan. It is reported that the Mayor became visibly irrate, and changed the subject. What is going on?
